Win A Date With Jon Pope
This is the date for the Win A Date with Jon Pope contest. The contest was where students could pay a dollar to submit themselves or a friend to go on a date with Jon Pope. The winner gets a free date gets paid for by the USI Filmmakers Club. The club was able to raise $94 in submissions for this event. Jon Pope is the sweet, caring, LOUD guy that you see on campus. He came in 2nd in the talent show for his hoola hooping skills. When he's in a room you'll know it. This is his real personality. Behind the scenes: On the night of the Jon Pope date we called on several drawn out winners and was unable to get a response. So we ventured out on campus to find someone who would go on a date with him. We didn't think we would be getting anyone, so we were willing to resort to having Jon just go on a date by himself and filming it. No matter what, we had to film something; It would have been illegal to take money for an event and not do that event. But we went out and found Andelie. She agreed to the date, and within 10 minutes we had a show. The show was initially supposed to be shown at May Day film festival on May 1st. However, due to technical difficulties at the event the show couldn't be shown.
