Elotes - Corn On The Cob

I lived in San Diego half of my life.
You would see people everyday pushing grocery carts around with their possessions and looking though the dumpsters EVERYDAY.
Well one day there was this woman pushing a cart and YELLING>
I thought this woman was CRAZY and hoped that she would go away.
She would come back like every other day pushing this cart and yelling and the neighborhood would come to her.
Well she was yelling "Elotes" ... spanish for "corn on the cob"
She was a latino woman and she was selling them out of a cooler in the cart to keep the corn warm.
They were DELICIOUS!
$1 each was the price and what a great snack they were.
I stole the recipe from her!

Ingredients:
1 ear of corn (elote)
mayonnaise
queso cotija... (cotija cheese)
hot sauce

Yummo!

I found the ground/shredded queso cotija at the "Neighborhood Walmart Grocery Store" near Covert & Vann avenues.
